Owners can exchange messages with their Strata Management team and other contacts from their building from the Mobile App for Owners.
Note: Messages can only be sent to users with an active profile.

Sending Messages
Messages are linked to the Plan Number and address of a Building, so that it's easy to keep track of all communications for Jobs.
Creating a New Message
To create a new message on the Mobile App, Owners will first need to access the Messages Page. This can be found by clicking on the Messages Icon on the Bottom Toolbar.
Here users will find a list of all recent messages and group chats.
Creating a General Chat:
1. Click on the Plus Icon to start a new message
2. Select a Plan Number
3. Add a Subject Name
4. Select General, under 'Chat Type'
5. Click Continue
6. Select the users you wish to message in the chat. Note you can add or delete these recipients later on if necessary
7. Click 'Create Chat'
From here, Owners can type and send messages through this chat.
Creating New Messages about Documents, Invoices and Levies
There are a few ways Committee Members and Owners can send messages about Documents, Invoices and Levies: Through a new Chat and directly from the document, Invoice or Levy
Creating the message through a New Chat:
1. Click on the Plus Icon to start a new message
2. Select a Plan Number
3. Add a Subject Name
4. Select either Document, Invoice or Levy, under 'Chat Type', and select the relevant file from the drop down
5. Click Continue
6. Select the users you wish to message in the chat
7. Click 'Create Chat'
Creating a message through a Document, Levy or Invoice
Owners can also create a message directly from an invoice or document. They can do this from list view of Documents, Invoices or Levies or from within the document itself.
Navigate to Documents, Invoices and Levies by clicking 'More' on the bottom toolbar and selecting the relevant file type.
Selecting either Documents, Invoices or Levies will take you to a page showing you the list of these file types for the user.
Clicking on the three dots next to a file will allow you to see more actions. Selecting 'Message Users' will open a new chat with the Document, Invoice or Levy already linked.
Managing Messages
Clicking on the Message Icon displays the list of chats for the User.
When you open a document or invoice, you will also see a chat icon at the top of the screen.
Clicking this icon will allow the user to create a new message about that file.
Finding Messages
From here they can search within their chats for keywords through the Search Bar. Additionally, they are able to filter the view of their chats by Plan Number.
Archiving Messages
The Active view only displays open/current chats. Click on the Archive heading to show the list of previously archived chats. Using the search bar in this view will allow the current user to search through the list of their Archived messages.
Swiping left on a message will automatically send it into the archives.
Any archived chat can be unarchived by going to the Archived tab and swiping the message from right to left.
Then select the 'Unarchive' button. This will restore the chat to the main page where new messages can be added to the thread.
Adding Attachments
Committee Members and Owners have the ability to upload photos or files into a message. This can be done by opening the message thread they wish to post to and selecting the paperclip icon. From here, users can click on 'Camera', 'Upload from gallery' or 'Upload from Files'
Clicking on Camera allows Owners to take a live photo from their mobile. Clicking on 'Upload from Gallery' allows users to select from existing photos on their mobile. From here they have the option to caption the photo before sending. Clicking on Files allows users to select from existing files on their mobile.
Receiving and Responding to Messages
Owners will be notified of new messages based on their notification settings. New messages can be read and responded to directly from the email notification or in the App. They can also be checked by clicking the Messages Icon on the bottom toolbar.

On the Messages page, all recent messages in chatrooms will be shown. Click any message on the list to view the chatroom and continue chatting.
More Actions
By clicking and holding onto a specific chat, Owners are able to perform further actions on individual messages in a thread. These actions are:
- Edit - Changing a message the user previously sent in a thread
- Copy - Copying the text to the device's clipboard
- Delete - Removing a message the user previously sent in a thread
