Enabling Building Inspectors Permission to Generate Reports

This article provides instructions on how to grant building inspectors the necessary permissions to generate and access financial reports for buildings.

Note: Only Organisation Admins Users can update this permission 

Enable Building Inspectors to Generate Reports

1. Enable Report Generation Permissions for Buildings

To allow a building inspector to generate reports, the Organisation Admin must first enable the 'Generate Financial Reports' permission for each building:

Note: If you do this in bulk, all buildings permissions will change for all permissions.

Click the user avatar on the top right then select Permission on the dropdown 

Search for the plan number and change the permission toggle to 'Generate Financial Reports'. Click the tickbox under the Building Inspector role to turn it ON.

2. Provide Access to Financial Reports

Once permissions are set, you need to ensure inspectors have access to all required reports:

Navigate to Settings > Financial Reports

Select the specific financial reports the inspector needs access to, ensuring permissions align with their access level.

3. Add Lot Number for Guest Access (if applicable)

If the inspector requires access to reports that are specific to a particular lot (e.g., for a current owner account or strata roll), ensure the lot number is included when setting up their guest access.

Enter the 'Lot Number' in the designated field during the guest access setup process.

Inspectors should start by opening the 'Buildings' section.

From there, select 'Financial Reports'.

Choose the Report and Enter the Lot Number (if required):

Select the report type. If the report pertains to a current owner account or strata roll, enter the relevant 'Lot Number' to generate the report accurately.

Following these steps will enable building inspectors to generate and access the reports they need efficiently.
