Sending Messages
Strata Managers can choose from a few options for sending messages within the Portal.
Messages are linked to the Plan Number and address of a Building, so that it's easy to keep track of all communications for Jobs.
When creating a new message, Strata Managers can select internal and external contacts and then add or delete them from the chat later on if necessary.
Sending Messages from Documents and Invoice Page
One way to send a message is from list view of the Documents or Invoice page.
Click the Docs icon or the Finance icon, search for the relevant document/invoice then click the three dots on the right of the row and select 'Message users'.
When the 'Message users' window opens, Strata Managers can open a chat with selected users and contacts about the document or invoice.
The Building address and file name will be pre-filled. Users can also select the contacts under 'Members' to select who to share the files with.
Enter the message, then click 'Create new chat' to send the message.

New messages can also be checked by clicking the Messages icon on the toolbar.
On the Messages page, all recent messages in chatrooms with selected contacts will be shown. Click any message on the list to view the chatroom and continue chatting.
To archive a chat, click the three dots on the right corner of the thread.
Switch the toggle for 'Archived' to the right to view all archived chats.
Any chat can be unarchived by clicking the three dots and selecting 'Unarchived' from the dropdown.
This will restore the chat to the main page where new messages can be added to the thread.
To edit, delete or copy a message that's already been sent, hover the mouse over the message, then right click. Select the appropriate action from the dropdown.
Click 'edit' to make changes to the message. Once done click the upload icon (up arrow) to send the update message.
Click the delete to remove the message from the chat. When the pop-up appears to confirm, click 'Delete' to confirm the action.

Strata Managers and other contacts can also respond to chats by email. All replies will be updated in the chatroom of the portal.
Messages are automatically marked as 'Read' when they are viewed, but Strata Managers have the option to bulk mark messages as read. To do this, click on the checkboxes on the left to select specific messages or select all by clicking the check box on the top left below the search bar. Once the messages have been selected, click the 'Mark All as Read' button.
