Building Managers may receive requests that do not fall within their Strata responsibilities.
When this occurs, they should select the 'Not Strata Related' feature on the Work Summary page. This will notify the requester that the Job is not Strata related. The request will automatically be closed.
Handle a Request That Isn't Strata Related
Go to the Jobs page by clicking the Wrench Icon then select the Job that isn't Strata related. On the Work Summary page, click the three dots on the top right and select 'Not Strata Related' from the drop-down menu.
Select a Template Email Option then enter any additional information in the box and click 'Send' to reject the request.
A message will be sent to the requester, notifying them that the Job is not Strata related and asking if they would like to challenge the decision.
If they select 'No', the Job is automatically cancelled.
If they select 'Yes', the decision is challenged and the request proceeds.
Requesters are informed that if they proceed with the request and it's confirmed that the Job is not Strata related, the requester will be charged for the call-out fee and any work costs.
If the Strata Manager decides to re-open the Job later on, they should select 'Re-open Job' from the drop-down menu on the top right of the Work Summary page.
For more information, please see Re-open a Declined Work or Quote Request.
Building Managers should contact us with any further questions regarding this process.
