Occasionally, the Committee will request to put a Job that has progressed 'On Hold'.
This can happen for various reasons, such as:
- Authority approvals are required for the work
- Site Contacts are unavailable to provide access to the Building
- Funding being finalised
In these situations, the Building Manager should change the Job status to 'On Hold'.
Place a Job 'On Hold'
1. Go to the Jobs page (Wrench Icon )
2. Select the Job
3. Click the three dots on the right of the Trade Categories
4. Select 'Place On Hold' from the drop-down menu
When the Building Manager has placed a Job 'On Hold', the Service Provider, Site Contacts, Internal Contacts and Committee Members are notified of this change.
While the Service Provider who is assigned to the Job won't be able to continue working on it in the Portal, the Job will not be deleted. This means that work can be resumed at a later point.
When the Building Manager decides that the Job is ready to proceed, the 'On Hold' status can be changed from the Work Summary page. To do this, click the three dots to the right of the Trade Categories and select 'Place Off Hold' from the drop-down menu.
Changing the Job status to 'Off Hold' notifies all of the relevant parties (Service Provider, Site Contacts, Internal Contacts and Committee Members) that the Job is ready to proceed. All of the details that were previously entered will still appear on the Work Summary page and the Service Provider can immediately resume work on the Job.
Building Managers should contact us with any further questions regarding this process.
