Drill Into Analytics

Organisation Admins that have signed up to the Analytics feature can expand on their reports by enabling drill interactions. Drill interactions link elements in your visualisations to further content such as other visualisations, dashboards, or URLs. This supports a greater understanding of the data with the click of a mouse.

Create a Drill Interaction on a Dashboard

Drill interactions can be added when editing dashboards. To edit a custom dashboard, click 'Edit' in the top right corner.

Click on a visualisation and click 'Interactions'.

Click '+ Add interaction' and select the metric to interact with.

Then select the type of action to perform, for example, drilling into a different visualisation.

In the example below, the interaction being created drills into the count of jobs by viewing the number of jobs by contractor.

After saving the changes on the dashboard, users will see the visualisation is now hyperlinked.

Clicking on the hyperlink will open the linked content, for example, the number of jobs by contractor. 

Other drill interactions allow data on visualisations to be drilled down into.

Once this change is saved, the chart is interactive and clicking on elements within the chart will expand on the data.
