There are instances when a Building Manager may need to Reject a Quote submitted by a Service Provider. For example, a Quote may be rejected if the cost of service exceeds the budget or is unreasonable based on the scope of work. The timeline is another important factor that may lead to the rejection of a Quote.
The 'Reject' quote feature allows the Service Providers to resubmit an updated quote once Rejected.
Alternatively, Building Managers can use the 'Revoke' feature. When a quote request is revoked, it results in the cancellation of the quote request for the specific service provider.
Reject a Quote
1. Go to the Jobs page (Wrench Icon )
2. Select the Job
3. Click 'Reject Quote' on the Work Summary page
4. Select the Quote or Quotes to reject
5. Enter a Message for the Service Provider
6. Click the 'Reject Quote' button
After a Quote has been rejected, the Service Provider will be notified.
Rejection of a Quote does not mean that Service Providers are excluded from the Job. The Service Provider can choose to submit an updated Quote to implement feedback and to remain competitive with other network providers.
When a Service Provider has submitted an updated Quote, the status will change from 'Quote Rejected' to 'Quote Updated'.
Revoke a Quote Request
1. Go to the Jobs page (Wrench Icon )
2. Select the Job
3. Click the 'Revoke' Icon on the Work Order
5. Enter a message for the Service Provider
6. Click Submit
Once the request is Revoked, this changes the status to Cancelled. Service providers will no longer have the option to submit or resubmit an updated quote and they no longer have the option to submit or resubmit a quote.
