For the most part, each work order requires one invoice payment. However there are situations where the payment for a work order is more complicated. While it is important that building managers make sure to put jobs through SMATA, there are a few instances where it should be avoided.
- Long term works and Weekly/Monthly/Yearly maintenance
- Works that are within a building's contract or arrangement**
Example Trades include:
- Fire Compliance Inspections (by annual and annual inspections)
- Passenger Lifts / Lawyers
- Consultants which require prepayment
- Reoccurring Cleaning, Gardening, Swimming Pool
While SMATA is currently developing the features that would allow us to host these works, they are not yet ready. In the meantime, please allocate these jobs as usual
**N.B. While contracted maintenance inspections will not be put through SMATA, any additional works that are found within these inspections will be. In this case, a contractor should message their Strata Manager directly and the Strata Manager will raise the specific work order for them.
